Hey guys!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Well, almost.. :) Anyways.. I think 2012 was a great year for me. I started doing nails which led to an Instagram (polishedbyrachel) and then a blog!!! I know I have improved greatly in the world of nails, and throughout 2013, I hope to improve even more!!
Now for the nails!! I spent forever trying to figure out what I was going to do for this manicure. I finally came up with something! It is really simple but I think it is wearable.. nothing too over the top.
First of all, sorry for the glare, they are so shiny!!!! Now onto the colors!
Black: Wet n Wild- Black Creme
Silver: Sally Hansen- Celeb City
Glitter- for the thumb I used Essie- Set in Stones and for other tips I just used loose glitter, which can be purchased at any craft store or Walmart.
As a "New Years Resolution" per se, I am going to try my best to be more efficient in blogging and making more quality posts. I have a comparison post bubbling up in my head and I have massive amounts of unused polish that can and needs to be used!! What are your New Years Resolutions??
I hope everyone had a great night and be safe!!!

Christmas Tree!
Hey gals!
I am so ready for Christmas this year! Even though life is going by in a flash, I found time to do some holiday inspired nail art!! For this look I used 9 different polishes!! I will list the polishes for the tree on down in this post, but for the rest of my hand, I'll tell you now :) I used Sephora by O.P.I. And a Cherry on Top as a base, and Merry Me as a glitter topper. Both of these were in the Tinseltown set that came out this year. Now for pictures!!
Isn't it pretty? I sure do love it! The tree was also done freehanded :) Here comes the list of polishes!!
Base- China Glaze Fairy Dust
Tree base- Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Tree- Sinful Colors Irish Green
Glitters- Pure Ice- Beware
Sephora by O.P.I- Only Gold For Me Top Coat
Essie- Stroke of Brilliance
Set in Stones
The red star is from a glitter wheel that I picked up at Claire's.
Enjoy!!!

Liquid Sky Lacquer!
Hello all! Onto the good stuff! Today I am wearing 3, 2, 1 Happy New Year! I got this polish from Carolyn's etsy during her black friday sale. I absolutely love this polish! Suspended within a clear base are chunky sliver holographic hex glitters and multi colored hexes that range from medium to small hexes. For this manicure, I have layered this over Color Club Blue-Ming.
Now tell me that isn't gorgeous!! I received many compliment while wearing this!!
I love this bottle shot!!! It looks absolutely amazing!!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and thanks for reading!!
